ARMENIAN OPPOSITION REPORTS NUMEROUS IRREGULARITIES, BEATINGS IN ONGOING PARLIAMENTARY VOTE

Armenian opposition groups are reporting numerous irregularities and
violations in ongoing parliamentary elections, including beatings of
its activists at some polling stations and the giving of bribes to
voters by candidates.
Armenian police spokesman Armen Malkhasian told Interfax that all
theses reports are being verified, and police will soon make an
official statement on the account.
The police press service also told Interfax that the voter lists
had been updated shortly before the elections to remove the names of
1,841 voters after it had been found out that these people were dead.
