PanARMENIAN.Net - 2/3 of voters participated in the May 6 parliamentary
election for honest motives, and only one third of citizens had
material expectations from the voting, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan
said on May 8.
Electoral bribes were mostly offered for supporting candidates
running by majority system, head of Sociometer sociological center
told the journalists.
As to proportional system nominees, the parties did not have large
resources for bribery, according to Adibekyan.
"USD 2-2.5 mln was distributed as electoral bribes, mostly by
candidates of the Republican Party of Armenia and Prosperous Armenia
nominated by majority system," the sociologist said.
