ARMAVIA TO PURCHASE ANOTHER SUKHOI SUPERJET-100 DESPITE CRASH IN INDONESIA

YEREVAN. - Armenian national carrier Armavia company will not suspend
talks on purchase of the second Russian Sukhoi SuperJet-100 after an
air crash in Indonesia.
The company's representative said that Armavia has been holding talks
on new Sukhoi SuperJet-100 for two months, though the precise date
of the purchase is not determined yet.
"We do not have serious claims; any aircraft has defects," he told
MIR TV channel.
He added it is too early to speak about the causes of air crash
in Indonesia.
A handover ceremony of the first Sukhoi Superjet-100 that arrived in
Armenia was held at the Zvartnots international airport in Yerevan
in April 2011.
Last month head of Sukhoi Company Mikhail Pogosyan said Armavia will
purchase another Sukhoi Superjet-100 in 2012.
