>From May 7 to 9 a number of various events took place in Artsakh
dedicated to the Victory Day, 20th anniversary of the NKR Defence
Army and liberation of Shoushi. The main festive ceremonies took
place in the cities of Stepanakert and Shoushi, where participated
President of Armenia S.Sargsyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin
II, Ex-President of the RA and NKR R.Kocharyan and Ex-President of
NKR A.Ghoukassyan and guests from Armenia, Russia and Diaspora.
On May 8 the guests and citizens of Stepanakert visited the memorial
Complex and laid flowers and wreathes to the monument immortalizing
the memory of those perished in the Second World War and Artsakh
liberation struggle. The next place of visit was the tank-monument
near Shoushi. Then they took part in the public festivity held in
one of the parks of Shoushi.
On May 9 a splendid parade was held in the Renaissance Square
of the capital Stepanakert where the army of Artsakh showed its
military glory. A festive concert took place in the stadium with the
participation of local singers and singers arrived from Yerevan. The
triple Holiday ended with a splendid firework.
