    Article | May 13, 2012 - 9:31pm

Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Ahmed AbdulAziz AL-Sadoun recently
welcomed Armenia's Ambassador to Kuwait Fadey Charchoglyan. In the
course of talks, both sides discussed expansion of inter-parliamentary
co-operation between the two countries, Armenia Liberty.org quoted the
    Foreign Affairs Ministry as saying.

The interlocutors also reflected on stimulating ties between the
inter-parliamentary friendship groups of both countries. Charchoglyan
noted that Armenia stance on the level of mutual visits by the
inter-parliamentary delegations is more active. In this connection, he
underscored AL-Sadoun's visit to Armenia. The ambassador briefed the
Kuwaiti speaker on the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict's settlement process and the state of affairs in
Armenian-Turkish relations and reflected on Armenia's parliamentary
    elections.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Speaker hailed Armenia's effort in resolving
the Karabakh issue through dialogue. He stressed that Kuwait also
supports a peaceful settlement to this conflict. The speaker was also
impressed with the Kuwaiti Armenian community and the Armenians' role
in the country's prosperity. He said that Kuwait is willing to expand
    ties with Armenia.
