The Ministry of Culture has not so far taken any measure to restore
the ruined cave of Mozrov, complains Gor Hovhannisyan, an
environmentalist dealing with the protection of the natural heritage
site in the south of Armenia.
According to him, the Ministry proposes waiting for favorable weather
conditions to start the renovation.
`We hope to hear news in a week. The Ministry has asked us to wait, so
we are waiting till the season comes,' he told Tert.am.
The Ministry had set up a working group to deal with the renovation
back in early April.
Hovhannisyan said that a major collapse in March had caused a stone-fall.
In mid-March, the Armenian youth initiative No Silence had warned in a
statement that the Mozrov Cave, which is one of the most marvelous
nature monuments on the territory of Armenia, had collapsed.
