    EDUCATION, CULTURE TOP PRIORITY IN BILATERAL TIES WITH ARMENIA - ROMANIAN AMBASSADOR

    YEREVAN. - Armenia's Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan
    on Tuesday received Romanian Ambassador Rodica Crina Prunariu.

    Ashotyan informed that an Armenian delegation, which he had led,
    paid an official visit to Bucharest on April 25-27 and attended
    the ministerial summit of the Bologna Process countries. Also
    during the visit the action plans for the upcoming years were
    designed. And according to these plans, Armenia will coordinate the
    aforesaid Process' reforms for the next three years. The two sides
    had reached accordance on experience exchange and transferring the
    2012-2015 Secretariat of the Bologna Process to Armenia. Ashotyan
    told the Ambassador that the Secretariat is scheduled to be formally
    transferred to Armenia on June 27-29 in the capital city Yerevan,
    Education and Science Ministry informs.

    In her turn, Ambassador Rodica Crina Prunariu noted that education
    and culture are primary directions in relations between Armenia and
    Romania. And in this context she reflected on Romania's providing of
    scholarships to Armenian university students.

    The interlocutors also discussed matters with respect to the funding of
    the Armenian-Romanian scientific project, and concerning the Armenian
    cultural heritage study in Romania and the Armenian Language Center
    at the University of Bucharest.
