The court has obliged the leader of the National Self-Determination
party Paruyr Hayrikyan to pay 40,000 AMD to the Communist Party of
Armenia for having insulted the latter.
Hayrikyan said that the Communists are in the dumps of history and that
their hero Stepan Shahumyan played a tragic role in Armenia's history.
During a press-conference on Wednesday Hayrikyan said that each normal
person should be anti-racist, anti-Fascist and anti-Communist. "Why
doesn't anybody remember today that it was the Communists who caused
many of the problems we are facing today, including the Nagorno-
Karabakh conflict?" Hayrikyan said.
Regarding the past parliamentary elections, he said that they have
shown that almost everybody in Armenia is corrupt. "Let's not forget
that all big defeats come from immorality," Hayrikyan said.
He said that the elections have proved that Serzh Sargsyan is the
only master in Armenia and even if not elected president in 2013 he
will have a parliamentary majority.
