MOSCOW. - On Thursday hearings started on the criminal case of the
Armenian Embassy employee Arthur Varzhapetyan's daughter kidnap
attempt.
The accused on the case are Sergey Arisov and Georgi Ivanov, RIA
Novosti reports adding Arisov has arranged to demand ~@10 million
as redemption. Both were arrested during the attempt of carrying out
their criminal plan.
To note, the current hearings are re-litigation of the criminal case.
Last spring Arisov was sentenced for 10 years in jail, while Ivanov
for 14.5 years. However, the sentence was cancelled and the case
is re-investigated.
