The Communist Party of Armenia does not recognize the results of
the May 6 parliamentary elections since they do not reflect the real
political picture, First Secretary of the CPA Ruben Tovmasyan told
journalists on Friday.
Quoting Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak, Tovmasyan said that in Armenia they
"sell a handmade truth." He believes that the international observers
have also been bribed.
Tovmasyan thanked the 16,000 voters who gave their "crystal-clear"
votes for his party. "We believe that there were more votes given for
us, but under such a regime, who have robbed the country for over 20
years and continues doing it, there can be no truth," the leader of
the Armenian Communists said.
To remind, during the elections the CPA secured just 1.06% of the
votes.
