ARMENIAN WUSHU SPORTSMEN GRABBED THE MAJORITY OF MEDALS IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

YEREVAN, MAY 21, ARMENPRESS: Armenian sportsmen won the majority of
medals during the Wushu-Sanda international tournament taking place in
"Dinamo" gym May 19-29. As Armenpress was informed in the category
of 18 above age group Garik Tevanyan 52 kg, Gor Khachatryan 56 kg,
Manuk Haroyan 60 kg, Sasun Hayrapetyan 65 kg, hatutyun Simonyan 70 kg,
Bobur Hahmanov 75 kg and Gor Nazaryan 80 kg scored the win.
180 athletes from Armenia, Russia, Iran, Pakistan and Iraq partook
at the competition.
The tournament was dedicated to the establishment of diplomatic
relations between Armenia and China and the 20 th anniversary of
Armenian Traditional Wushu's activities. Sportsmen from Pakistan and
Iraq participated in this competition for the first time.
