    SESSIONS DEDICATED TO 100-TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE HAVE TAKEN PLACE IN AUSTRIA AND HUNGARY

    YEREVAN, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS: The first plenary session of the committee
    formed to coordinate the events dedicated to the 100-th anniversary
    of Armenian genocide took place in the Embassy of Armenia to Austria
    on May 19. The session was chaired by the ambassador of Armenia to
    Austria Arman Kirakosyan.

    Armenpress was informed from Media, information and public relations
    department of MFA of Armenia that the director of Armenian genocide
    Museum-Institute, secretary of coordinating council of events dedicated
    to 100-th anniversary of Armenian genocide Hayk Demoyan had been
    present at the session. The latest presented the working programs
    and aims of the coordinating body, answered the questions. As a most
    important event Demoyan mentioned the holding in 2015 the conference
    of International Association of Genocide scholars which has more than
    200 members, in Yerevan.

    In the cultural center of Armenian autonomy in Budapest took place
    the session of local committee of the events dedicated to the
    100-th anniversary of Armenian genocide on May 17. At the meeting
    were present director of Armenian genocide Museum-Institute Hayk
    Demoyan, minister of Armenian embassy in Vienna Arthur Musheghyan,
    President of Armenian autonomy in Hungary Sevan Serkisyan, head of
    the Armenian cultural and news center in Hungary Aleksan Avanesyan,
    President of the Armenian cultural foundation in Hungary Nikoghos
    Hakobyan, editor of journal "Armenia" and President of Union "Ararat"
    Gagik Jotyan and several Armenian

    Intellectuals from Hungary.

    During the session Hayk Demoyan as the secretary of state committee
    discussed with the presents several organizational issues. Agreements
    were reached on initiating joint events for the next three years.
