ARMENIAN AMBASSADOR HANDS CREDENTIALS TO IRISH PRESIDENT

Armenia's Ambassador to the UK, Karine Ghazinyan, visited Dublin, on
Tuesday and Wednesday, where, in connection with being simultaneously
appointed as Armenia's Ambassador to Ireland, she presented her
credentials to the President of Ireland, Michael Higgins.
Following the credentials' official presentation on Wednesday, the
Ambassador conversed with the President, during which they discussed
the prospects for developing Armenian-Irish ties.
Afterward, Armenia's Honorary Consul to Ireland, Ohan Yerkaynharsyan,
organized a reception in honor of the newly appointed Ambassador.
On the same day, Ambassador Ghazinyan met with Irish Department of
Foreign Affairs and Trade Political Director David Donoghue, and OSCE
Task Force Head Frank Cogan.
The next meeting was in the Irish parliament, and with Joe Costello,
the Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
with responsibility for Trade and Development. They examined the
bilateral economic relations and the organizing of high-level visits.
Upon the Minister's request, Armenia's ambassador also presented the
latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
On Tuesday, Ambassador Ghazinyan got together with representatives
from Ireland's Armenian community; this event was likewise organized
by Armenia's Honorary Consul to Ireland, Ohan Yerkaynharsyan.
