UNCLEAR IF NATO IS READY TO ENTRUST SOUTH CAUCASUS TO UNPREDICTABLE TURKEY

YEREVAN.- It is still unclear whether NATO is ready to fully entrust
the South Caucasus to unpredictable Turkey, says Armenian expert in
oriental studies.
Talking to journalists on Friday, Ruben Safrastyan said Turkey's
policy has recently becoming unpredictable not only for Armenia but
also Ankara's NATO allies.
"For instance, Turkey hampered Israel's participation in the NATO
Chicago Summit. Ankara's steps are beyond alliance's logic. It is still
unclear whether NATO is ready to fully entrust the South Caucasus
to unpredictable Turkey," he said commenting on press rumors saying
Turkish leader Abdullah Gul may be appointed NATO head.
