PAPER: WHO WILL GET INTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER'S POST?

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Haykakan Zhamanak daily, structural
change is planned at the government of Armenia, with a new Ministry
of Internal Affairs to be formed.
As a source close to the authorities told the daily, at least 5 main
departments will be formed at the ministry. 4 of them will act as
police structures, while the 5th is to be formed into a department
of emergency situations, practically repeating the functions of the
emergency situations ministry.
"The decision to form a new ministry hasn't been passed yet, but a
struggle for ministerial post is in full swing. The main candidates
for the post are: current Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan,
Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan and Yerevan Police
Department chief Nerses Nazaryan," the daily said.
