Armenia lacks idea of bringing up citizen - Gagik Ginosyan

Ginosyan said a person in Armenia is not being brought up as a
citizen.
Speaking to reporters today, the art figure stated that we are not
bringing up citizens we are just giving knowledge. Nothing is being
done for the formation of a citizen of Armenia.
`The idea of bringing up a citizen lacks in Armenia while it is the
biggest mission of each state. We do not know what generation we are
bringing up, we cannot say what state we will have,' Ginosyan
stressed.
The art figure said the school is not teaching the subject to solve
the issue of upbringing the country's citizens. The television, school
and kinder-garten should work in that direction.
`During the Soviet years the children in kinder-gartens were sowed
what the Soviet needed. Today there is a need to conduct upbringing
classes in higher educational establishments as well,' he said.
According to him, the state should have an important role in it and
exert efforts in that direction.
