POLITICIAN SAYS CLASHES BETWEEN SOCHI'S ARMENIANS AND CHECHENS NOT ORCHESTRATED

PanARMENIAN.Net - CIS States Institute director commented on the
conflict between Armenian population of Russian city of Sochi and
Dagestan and Chechnya nationals working at Olympic construction in
the city.
"I don't believe any third side to have caused the clashes between
the workers and Sochi's Armenian population," Kostantin Zatulin told
a news conference in Yerevan.
According to the Russian politician, "one doesn't expect high levels
of sophistication from construction workers."
Clashes between Armenian and Dagestan nationals have been reported at
Sochi's Adler region for several days. According to official sources,
Armenian youth started the fight, while trying to protect Armenian
girls from abusive behavior of the Dagestanis.
