EFFORTS ARE CARRIED OUT FOR CRIMINALIZATION THE DENIAL OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN CANADA

YEREVAN, MAY 30 , ARMENPRESS: Works are conducted for criminalization
the denial of Armenian Genocide. Vagarsh Ehramchyan member of ARF in
Canada informed Armenpress.
" Canada has already recognized the Armenian Genocide. We are striving
Turkey recognize the historical truth. We want Canadian Parliament
and Government demand Turkey fulfill the requirements" Ehrmchyan noted.
In the words of the interlocutor up to now no draft criminlilizing
the denial of Armenian Genocide has been submitted to the Parliament
of Canada; whereas the work is done in that direction. " Be sure,
we shall be consistent to succeed it".
Canadian Senate adopted the resolution on Armenian Genocide on June
13, 2002, the House of Commons on April 21, 2004.
