One should not wait for any conceptual changes after recognition of
Nagornyy Karabakh independence by the parliament of the Australian
New South Wales, political expert, Sergey Minasyan, told Arminfo
correspondent. "It is not a conceptual step that will be able to affect
the course of further political events around Karabakh", - he said.
To recall, the Legislative Council, which is the Upper House of
the New South Wales Parliament, Australia, adopted a resolution
recognizing the independence of Nagorno Karabakh, Thursday, on October
25. The resolution, in particular, reads that the Australian State NSW
recognizes independence of Nagorno Karabakh and its people's right to
sovereignty. The resolution calls on Canberra to officially recognize
the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and boost cooperation between Australia
and NKR.
