The newspaper reports a dismal picture in Armenia's creative unions -
a picture of how many scientists, educationalists and cultural figures
have left Armenia in recent years.
The Union of Architects reports that about 100 of its members have
left Armenia in the past 10-13 years. The Painters Union of Armenia
reports a similar situation. About half of them have left Armenia in
recent five years. The State Philharmonic Orchestra reports that more
than 20 musicians have left Armenia in recent five years.
A similar situation is in Armenia's science. According to reports,
100 Armenian scientists are yearly employed by foreign universities.
The only exception is the Union of Writers. The reason is that Armenian
writers are unable to create their works in any other language.
This dismal picture is the result of Armenian authorities' activities -
the "accomplishments" by Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan.
A presidential election is to be held in Armenia next year, which is
supposed to force those responsible to leave, the newspaper writes.
