ARMENIA TO LAUNCH "NATO WEEK"

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS: Regular "NATO Week" is scheduled to
kick off in Armenia in the frame of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership
Action Plan on November 1-8. As information and public relations
department of the Foreign Affair Ministry informed Armenpress,
a meeting is set to be held in M. Nalbandyan State Pedagogical
Institute with the participation of the students.
Representatives from Foreign Affair Ministry, US and UK Embassies
and NATO are going to lecture in the course of the event.
"Cooperative security enhancement. NATO's new partnership policy
additional investment "seminar dedicated to NATO Partnership new policy
as the major event of NATO Week will kick off in Congress hotel, on
November 5-6. NATO high-ranking officials, Armenian Foreign and Defense
Ministries representatives, politicians, experts, non-governmental
organizations are going to participate in the event.
"NATO Week" event participants will visit Armenian Defense Ministry
peacekeeping brigade. Vision bridge will be organized in Foreign
Affair Ministry building for the families of Armenian peacekeepers
serving in Kosovo and Afghanistan. Round table talks on NATO as a
political-military alliance, discussion over the development and
transformation issues are going to sum up the events.
