    SAFAROV'S STEP OF THE AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT IS CONTRARY TO ALL INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS: THE PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH SENATE

    YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. The Chairman of the national Assembly
    of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan paid an official visit
    to the Czech Republic and had a meeting with the President of the
    Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milan tÄ~[ch.

    The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Republic
    of Armenia informed "Armenpress" that Hovik Abrahamyan expressed his
    gratification for the invitation and warm admission and congratulated
    the people of the Czech Republic and the members of the Senate on
    occasion of the National Holliday. He said that he is confident
    that the relations between the parliaments of the two countries
    will keep developing. Hovik Abrahamyan emphasized the importance of
    the cooperation of Armenia and the Czech Republic in international
    organizations.

    Talking about Safarov's case the Chairman of the national Assembly of
    the Republic of Armenia expressed his gratitude for the position of
    the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the Czech Republic and condemnation
    of what happened. He highly appreciated the formula condemning the
    case of Azerbaijani murderer Ramil Safarov ratified by the Committee
    of Foreign Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of the
    Parliament of the Czech Republic.

    The President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic
    Milan tÄ~[ch thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for accepting his invitation
    and visiting Czechia. Milan tÄ~[ch emphasized the importance of the
    democratic reforms in Armenia and highly appreciated the fraternal
    relations between the two countries. Among other things tÄ~[ch noted
    that Hungary's step may be a result of a mistake or carelessness, but
    the step of the Azerbaijani president is contrary to all international
    standards. The President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech
    Republic stated: "It's unacceptable that a murderer is set free and
    declared a hero."
