THEY WANT TO MAKE THE STATE REVENUE COMMITTEE (SRC) CONTROLLABLE BY BLACKMAILING, THE SRC CHAIRMAN SAYS

"Unfairness toward us continues. Pressure has been there for a long
time and it continues. There is piggishness, greediness in some
people, which wish to take possession of real estate. In our case,
we have investments in real estate markets, they have an eye on them
and want to take them away," Narek Harutyunyan, the director of

the Narekatsi art center, said about the violations revealed by the
SRC in the company he directed. He refused to tell concrete names of
those who had an eye on his business.

Let us remind that the SRC accused Narek Harutyunyan, the director
of GH Storage Enterprises, of "maliciously avoiding payment of large
sums in taxes, duties and other mandatory payments and for legitimizing
revenues illegally obtained," which had been done in large amounts. "I
had better not respond to groundless talk. The sums mentioned in
court are in accordance with the letter of the law and there is no
interference. It is not possible; if someone interferes or carries out
instructions in the system today, he will not work for another second,"
Gagik Khachatryan, the SRC chairman, said to www.aravot.am about the
Harutyunyan case. He said that while the case was considered in court,
he would not make statements, everything would be clear in court.

Talking about the statement of his deputy Armen Alaverdyan about the
Harutyunyan case that "the Narek Harutyunyan case was a typical case
of Armenians who see Armenia as a source of income and unfortunately,
that normal phenomenon is accompanied by not paying taxes," he said,
"They just try to put a state organ in such a condition that will
allow business to control it by blackmailing, as they did before. This
is the most dangerous thing. The case is in court, violations have
been revealed with sufficient grounds and a claim has been filed,
nothing more, the rest is just made up."
