plenipotentiary Ambassador of Greece to Armenia Ioannis Taghis handed
his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
As Armenpress was informed from the presidential press office,
President congratulated the Ambassador on the beginning of his
diplomatic mission in Armenia and hoped that he would prevent the
development and strengthening of the relations between the two nations
with his activity. Serzh Sargsyan highlighted that Armenian-Greek
relations were based on the traditions formed during centuries and
that Armenia was interested in keeping and developing them.
Ambassador Taghis assured that he would spare no efforts for completing
his diplomatic mission, which was of the bilateral benefit of the two
states, up to par. Ambassador noted that Serzh Sargsyan's official
visit to Greece in 2011 once again proved that Armenia and Greece
had a far reaching way of development in different spheres.
