YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS: Hranush Hakobyan Armenian Minister
of Diaspora on October 31 hosted the Chairman of Armenian community in
Hungary Sevan Sargsian, Vice Chairman Alex Avanesian and the Chairman
of "Armenia-Hungary" friendly company Anahit Simonian.
As Armenpress was informed from the Armenian Ministry, Armenian
Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan greeted the Armenian community in
Hungary, especially its activity after the extradition of the murderer.
The leaders of the Armenian community in Hungary are going to apply
to the court for appealing the decision of Hungarian government
and proving that the extradition of the perpetrator first of all
contradicts to the Hungarian constitution. The Head of the Armenian
community informed that after the extradition Hungarian government
was avoiding referring and discussing the case of Safarov so Armenian
community was having difficulties when negotiating on this issue. But
instead of that they are cooperating with Hungarian intellectuals and
public figures, which are confronting the press. During the meeting
interlocutors referred to the united position of Armenian Diaspora
all over the world.
Participants also discussed the priority issues of the community,
as well as the orchestration of its activity. Minister Hakobyan
shed the light on creating Armenology Center in Hungary; she also
referred to the coming events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of
Armenian Genocide.
