A five-storey house that used to belong to an Armenian, and which is
located in Turkey's southeastern city of Mardin, has been transformed
    into a five-star boutique-hotel.

Mardin businessman Firat Irmak had purchased the nearly-300-year-old
house and, together with his Italian partners, made an investment
worth approximately $13 million, Vatan daily of Turkey reports.

Irmak noted that the hotel was reconstructed in line with the
architecture of the houses located in Mardin's Armenian district,
and it has 32 rooms with 82 beds.

In her turn, the hotel's general manager Zeynep Temiz noted that even
though the hotel has not been officially opened, they already have
made reservations for seventy percent of its rooms.
