    MAIN STRUGGLE FOR THE PRESIDENCY UNFOLD BETWEEN SERZH SARGSYAN AND GAGIK TSARUKYAN, POLL SAYS

    Yerevan/Mediamax/. According to the poll conducted by the Armenian
    Office of Gallup International Association, current President of
    Armenia Serzh Sargsyan would get 28% of votes if the presidential
    elections were held on coming Sunday.

    Presenting the results of the poll today, head of the Gallup
    International Association Office in Armenia Aram Navasardyan informed
    that the poll was conducted on October 9-20 among 1067 people
    throughout Armenia, Mediamax reports.

    "According to the results of the poll, the incumbent President would
    get 28% of votes, leader of PAP Gagik Tsarukyan - 29%, second Armenian
    President Robert Kocharyan - 11%, if the elections were held on coming
    Sunday", Aram Navasardyan noted.

    4% of the polled would vote for leader of "Heritage" party Raffi
    Hovhannisyan, and 3% would get former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan
    Oskanian and first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan each.

    According to the polled, Serzh Sargsyan is the most authoritative
    political figure in Armenia (32%), Gagik Tsarukyan is the second
    (29%), Robert Kocharyan and Raffi Hovhannisyan follow them - 9% and 4%
    respectively. Vardan Oskanian and Levon Ter-Petrosyan got 3% each.

    46% of the polled approves the work of the Armenian President and
    43% is not satisfied. Only 35% of the polled is satisfied with the
    government, whereas 52% is dissatisfied. 33% is satisfied with the
    National Assembly while 55% is not happy with its work.
