JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL HELD IN ARMENIA

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Festival of Japanese films kicked off in Yerevan
on November 2 at "Moscow" Cinema.
The festival is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment
of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan.
The Japanese films will be shown in Yerevan on November 2-4 and Gyumri
on November 5-6.
The festival is held by the Armenian-Japanese scientific-educational
center "Hikari" with the assistance of the Embassy of Japan in Armenia.
The general sponsor of the festival is the Armenian representation
of Japan Tobacco International (JTI).
Addressing the opening ceremony, Ambassador of Japan to Armenia
Tikahito Harada expressed the hope that the festival, which is held
in Armenia for already the second time, will become a stimulus for
expanding the cultural dialogue and mutual understanding between
two countries.
