ARMENIA'S APPROACHES ON NKR ISSUE ARE IN LINE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS: The main goal of the launched
meeting between Armenian Foreign Affair Minister Edward Nalbandyan ,
his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov and Minsk group co-
chairs hosted in Paris sought to return NKR issue regulation process
in the negotiation field. Armenian Foreign Affair head came forth in
the National Assembly on November 5, Armenpress reports.
Azerbaijan rejected the progress of negotiation process and was
targeting to failure it. "Hungarian- Azerbaijani deal was another
impede to the process " Minister stated. In the words of the top
diplomat Armenia showed its decisiveness to continue negotiation
process. It is Azerbaijan that that does not share this stance.
Minister observes some changes occurred in the process. "Especially
after Safarov case the international society came forth with relevant
response regarding Azerbaijani steps, the same did the co-chairs"
Nalbandyan noted.
There is no organization that did not express its attitude towards
the case. Minister Nalbandyan stated he is committed to go on peace
process. Armenia shows willingness over the principles offered by
the international society on NKR issue regulation." Our approaches
are consistent with the approaches of the international society "
Minister noted. The contrary is also true in the words of the Foreign
Affair head "international community's approaches currently are in
line with that of Armenia".
Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian met with the
Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Robert Bradtke of
the United States of America, Igor Popov of the Russian Federation,
and Jacques Faure of France and the Personal Representative of the
OSCE Chairperson-in-office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk on October
27.The Co-Chairs stressed the importance of reducing tensions among
the parties. They presented their ideas on a working proposal to
advance the peace process. The Foreign Ministers reiterated their
determination to continue working with the Co-Chairs to reach a
peaceful settlement. The Ministers and the Co-Chairs agreed to a
further discussion of these ideas during the Co-Chairs' visit to the
region due in November.
