ARABIAN DAMAC COMPANY IS INTERESTED IN THE ARMENIAN STONE
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The Deputy Prime Minister of the
Republic of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration of the
Republic of Armenia Armen Gevorgyan had a number of meetings with the
representatives of the large companies from the Near East interested
in the Armenian stones.
The Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Territorial
Administration of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress"
that the issues regarding the Armenian programs of Majid Al Futtaim
Company had been discussed during the meeting. The representatives
of the company informed the Prime Minister about their intentions
for the development of the activity of the company in Armenia and
the realization of the long-term programs. Among other things they
mentioned that they want to open one of the "Carrefour" hypermarkets
in Dalma trade complex in Yerevan.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed their initiatives and mentioned
that there are many opportunities for investments in Armenia and the
Armenian authorities encourage the presence and activity of foreign
enterprises in Armenia. The Prime Minister welcomed the establishment
of "Carrefour" branch in Armenia and highlighted that this famous
complex does not merely offer new services in Armenia, but also
creates new opportunities for the realization of the production of the
agricultural and recycling companies via this complex of hypermarkets.
