ARMENIA IS AN IMPORTANT PARTNER TO CHINA: TIAN CHANGCHUN
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: Armenia is an important partner to
China. Tian Changchun Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the Peoples Republic of China to Armenia came forth in the conference
entitled Armenia and China: 20 year-old cooperation in politics,
economics, language and culture. "The friendship between the Chinese
and Armenia people dates back for centuries. Currently Armenia is
an important partner to China. Bilateral relations are continuously
developing and activating in all spheres " Mr. Changchun stated.
Political dialogue is also in a high level, numerous mutual visits
have been paid in the course of this time. In this context Chinese
Ambassador underscored active cooperation established in the economic
and humanitarian field. Foreign top diplomat as well noted the launch
of Chinese cultural days in Armenia on October. In the words of Mr.
Changchun Chinese people remember with gratitude the involvement of
6 thousand Armenians in Chinese liberation in Second World War within
SSR Army.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Peoples
Republic of China were established on April 6th 1992. Conference
dedicated to the establishment of diplomatic relations is being held
in capital Yerevan. The conference seeks to determine the modern state
of Chinese studies and its role in Armenia, strengthen the cooperation
between the specialists on Chinese studies both in Armenia and China,
jointly look for new ways of cooperation in China's political,
economic, linguistic and cultural spheres.
