Armenia's State Revenue Committee has published the list of 1,000
big tax payers of the first nine months of 2012.

The total amount of taxes paid by all the 1,000 tax payers has made
394,9 billion drams which is 42,1 billion more as compared with the
same span of the past year. The 30,2 billion out of the 42,1 comes
to share of the first 100 big tax payers.

According to the Finance Ministry's information, the taxes paid by
all the companies in the first half of the year make 534.1 billion
drams which is 10.1% more as compared with the same span of the past
year, with the growth tempo being a bit slower than in case of 1,000
big tax payers - 11.9%. The growth is bigger in case of the 100 tax
    payers making 13.8%.

The list of the 1,000 big tax payers is headed by ArmRusgasprom having
paid 22.6 billion drams during the past nine months. The company has
paid 42.3% more taxes as compared with the past year.

Last year's leader - Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant has become the
second, reducing the paid taxes by 27.2% despite growth in mining
volumes. The reason is the reduction of copper and molybdenum prices
    in the international market.

The third comes Alex Grig company, belonging to MP Samvel Alexanyan,
which has paid 13.5 billion drams. Alexanyan's company has paid 14%
more taxes as compared with the same span of the past year. The fourth
in the list is K-Telecom with 13.3 billion paid taxes. The top five is
being concluded by ArmenTel company with 9.6 billion drams paid taxes.

Among the companies registering a drastic growth is the High Voltage
Electricity Networks company having paid 4.62 billion drams and
appearing in the 11th place from last year's 66.

Among the mining companies having registered progress are Geo Pro
Mining company ranked 14th and Dino Gold Mining company ranked the
9th - the first one quadrupled and the second one doubled the number
    of paid taxes.

While studying the list, Sam Ser Group company, having been ranked
the 12th with 4.6 billion paid taxes, and seeming "enigmatic"
catches the sight. There is no information about the company in the
previous lists. The company has become known only this year. It has
been registered in 2009 as an Armenian-Russian joint venture and has
become famous 'thanks' to the buffalo meat scandal.

Sam Ser Group is the one of the five companies that imported 5,284
tons of buffalo meat to Armenia in the first nine months of the year.

According to the government's information, the company has imported
about 690 tons of it (13.5%).

According to publication of Hetq.am, the company's registered
founders are Russian citizen Sergey Pashko and Armenian citizen Victor
Manukyan, who was the founder of Samvel Alexanyan's former Salex Group
company. Hetq.am reported that if previously Alex Group imported 6,319
tons of buffalo meat, in the nine months of the running year it has
reduced its import to 959 tons, with Sam Ser Group being involved in
    the sphere.

Citing Panjiva information platform's information, Hetq.am writes
that Sam Ser Group is also importing dairy products, particularly the
products of New Zealand's Fonterra Co-Operative Group company known
    with Anchor brand.
