THE CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS ISSUED A LETTER OF CONDOLENCE ON THE OCCASION OF THE DEATH OF THE PATRIARCH OF BULGARIA
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme
Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians issued a letter of condolence
to the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church, the priesthood and faithful
people of Bulgaria on the occasion of the death of Maxim Patriarch
of Bulgaria.
As the Information Centre of the Mother See informed "Armenpress" in
the letter Karekin II states: "Maxim Patriarch, of holy memory, was
a devoted and zealous shepherd for the Orthodox Christians of Bulgaria.
Due to his efforts the Bulgarian Church progressed in the development
of the spiritual life of Bulgaria. As a true and good shepherd Maxim
Patriarch was willing for the preservation of the strength and union
of the Church. We all knew him as a man of a deep spiritual character.
We must remember the deceased Patriarch in our prayers and ask God
to accept the soul of Maxim Patriarch in his Celestial Kingdom."
The delegation of the Armenian Apostolic Church will partake in the
funerals of Maxim Patriarch on November 9.
