    AGARAK COPPER-MOLYBDENUM COMBINE REACHES A 3.5 MILLION TONS OF ORE PROCESSING CAPACITY

    YEREVAN, November 8. / ARKA /. GeoProMining Gold (GPM Gold), a
    Russian-controlled company, said it has completely upgraded one of
    its two assets in Armenia- the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine- which
    it added has reached a 3.5 million tons of ore processing capacity a
    year. According to a company press release, the modernization started
    in 2009 and ended this year.

    Armenian energy and natural resources minister Armen Movsisyan and
    his Iranian counterpart, Majid Namjou, who attended today the ground
    breaking ceremony for launch of construction of a hydraulic power
    plant in Meghri, visited today the Agarak Combine to see some of its
    modernized sections.

    According to the press release, introduction of recycling water system
    in the plant will prevent waste water from damaging the environment,
    including transboundary river Arax.. The system will also significantly
    reduce the amount of water used in production. The project budget was $
    4.5 million.

    GeoProMining was founded in 2001. In Armenia it owns two assets -
    the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine and GPMGold, developing the Sotk
    gold mine and running Ararat gold recovery factory. -0-
