Formerly a nightmare for developing countries, today subsidies are
posing a serious threat to developed nations, economic expert Tatul
Manaseryan told journalists on Thursday.
He said that after the global crisis developed countries are no
longer able to provide big subsidies, to artificially reduce the
prices of their goods and then to export them to developing countries,
like Armenia. "Now that are facing serious problems, like declining
agricultural production, soaring prices and food crisis, so, big
subsidies have become a luxury for them," Manaseryan said.
