ANTI-MONOPOLY COUNCIL OF CIS TO STUDY MARKETS OF FUEL, AVIATION AND MEDICINE
YEREVAN, November 12. /ARKA/. Anti-monopoly inter-government council
of CIS countries will carry out studies in three fields - fuel,
pharmaceuticals and aviation. The respective decision was made at
the council's meeting held in Ukraine Friday, the press service of
Armenian state commission for economic competition reported.
According to most participants, these fields are among the most
problematic ones in terms of pricing policy and behavior of economic
entities.
Participants have also agreed to maintain control over economic
entities that violated the laws.
Anti-monopoly bodies decided to exchange information about major CIS
companies violating the laws, which will allow monitoring activities of
an infringer in all CIS countries where the given company is presented,
says the report.
Head of the Armenian state commission for economic competition
Artak Shaboyan reported about the Commission's efforts in 2012. The
achievements were quite impressive, according to head of Russian
anti-monopoly agency Igor Artemiev.
Head of anti-monopoly committee of Ukraine Vasily Yushko, in his turn,
mentioned that success of their Armenian colleagues will help start
large-scale studies in other CIS countries.
