A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN PRINTING WAS HELD IN RYAZAN

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Ryazan State University after S.
Yesenin and the Armenian community of Ryazan in association with the
Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation organized
scientific conference entitled "the Book is the Basis of the National
Culture" dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Armenian printing.
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia informed
"Armenpress" that the regional administration of Ryazan Oblast and
representatives from DUMA and Municipality partook in the meeting.
The rector of the university I. Sheina made opening remarks. Also the
Head of the Department of World Culture of the Faculty of International
Relations and Socio-Political Sciences of Moscow State Linguistic
University M. Poletaeva, Professor of the Faculty of History and
International Relations of the State University of Russia Ya. Kolker
and others took part in the conference. The members of the Armenian
delegation also made reports. Among them are the Deputy Rector
of Yerevan State Linguistic University L. Fljyan, the Dean of the
Faculty of History of Yerevan State University E. Minasyan, the Dean
of Russian Linguistics P. Balayan and the Dean of the Faculty of
Armenian Linguistics A. Avagyan.
