THE NUMBER OF THE TOURISTS VISITING ARMENIA INCREASED FOR ALMOST 10 PERCENT

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The number of the tourists visiting
Armenia from January to September of the current year equals to 603,
075. In comparison with the number of tourists for the same period
of the last year there is a growth of 9, 4 percent. As reports
"Armenpress" this was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy of
the Republic of Armenia Ara Petrosyan during the press conference. In
the Deputy Minister's opinion this is rather encouraging and he is
hopeful that this growth will be maintained. Ara Petrosyan stated:
"In accordance with our predictions we shall have a palpable growth
and go beyond the limit of 800, 000."
According to the Deputy Minister this is a good result. He noted:
"This is a good result, especially if we take into consideration the
fact that the international tourism did not overcome the consequences
of the financial crisis."
