YEREVAN. - The decapitated body, which was discovered on November 6
in the water canal that passes through Jrashen village of Armenia's
Ararat Region, was thrown into the water canal from capital city
Yerevan, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.
"In other words, the murder was committed in the capital. Jrashen
prefect Artyom Ghazaryan made such assumption in an interview with our
reporter. "The victim definitely is not from our village. The water
brought the body from Yerevan; that's why we think he was thrown into
the water from the water canal's section that passes through Yerevan,'
[he said].
[And] The Police told our reporter that the identity of the body is
not yet determined. At the same time they neither denied nor confirmed
that this brutal and bizarre murder was committed in Yerevan, since the
circumstances are still being ascertained," Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
