Russia holds 9th International Conference on Armenian Linguistics

PETERSBURG. - Russia's St. Petersburg held on Nov. 7 to 9 the Ninth
International Conference on Armenian Linguistics. It gathered
philologists from around the world, editor of Armenian Humanitarian
Bulletin, Armenologist Areg Bayandur told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
John Greppin (U.S.), James Russell (U.S.), Theo van Lint
(Netherlands), Anahit Donabedyan-Demopoulos (France), Hrach
Martirosyan (Netherlands) and Sergey Muravyev (France) delivered
speeches in the conference.
The conference focuses on all aspects of historical or synchronic
linguistics related to any period or dialect of the Armenian language.
The tenth conference will be held in Yerevan.
