Armenian Finance Ministry's control service has launched inspections
in Gyumri Mayor's Office, Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan's spokesman,
Zohrab Yeganyan, told Haykakan Zhamanak.
The inspections started yesterday and are aimed at checking the
efficiency of spending the money allocated from the state budget.
The paper recalls its report saying that several inspection
organizations will carry out inspections in Gyumri Mayor's Office
soon.
`It is not known yet how former Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan will be
affected by these inspections. Weeks ago, reports from Gyumri said
that they have an impression that criminal proceedings could be filed
against Vardan Ghukasyan. It is difficult to say if there are grounds
for such impression,' the paper writes.
