EXPERT: THE WEST HAS ASSURED ITSELF THAT SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN ARE USELESS

The West has assured itself that sanctions against Iran are useless.
The publications in the American mass media about the readiness of
President Barack Obama to start direct talks with Iran, are evidence of
that, an expert of Iran, Vardan Voskanyan, told Arminfo correspondent
and added that the tension between Iran and the West will mellow in
the near future.
He is sure that a military operation of Israel in the Gaza Sector
distracts attention of the world community from the nuclear programme
of Iran and the events in Syria in a certain sense.
"Undoubtedly, a new round of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is first
of all beneficial to Damascus, as it will allow Bashar Asad to take
a break and "unscramble" with the armed extremists. As for Iran,
any conflict, in which Israel takes part, plays into the hands of
Teheran in this or that way. At the same time, one should not look
for any Iranian trace in the Gaza Sector or to say that this conflict
is finally directed against Iran"- Voskanyan emphasized.
