KUWAITI AUTHORITIES ARE WILLING TO SEND HUMANITARIAN AID TO THE SYRIAN-ARMENIANS LIVING IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Nalbandyan had a meeting with
the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the
State of Kuwait His Excellency Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah
on November 19. In frames of the agenda of the negotiations of the
sides Edvard Nalbandyan and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait discussed issues regarding the
cooperation in international organizations, the regular consultations
of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, regional and international
topics. The Department of Press and Information of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress"
that Edvard Naldandyan expressed his gratitude for the invitation to
visit Kuwait and emphasized that the development of relations with
the Arabian world in general and Kuwait in particular is of a certain
importance for Armenia.
During the meeting the Ministers spoke about the realization of the
agreements of the heads of the two countries, the widening of the
legal sphere, development of the cooperation in the spheres of trade
and economy, banking, agriculture, healthcare, education and culture.
Among other things Edvard Nalbandyan said that he is worried about the
situation in Syria and mentioned that due to the confrontation Armenia
continues to receive thousands of Syrian-Armenian refugees. In this
respect the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the State of Kuwait His Excellency Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad
Al-Sabah expressed his willingness to send humanitarian aid to the
Syrian-Armenians living in Armenia.
