ARMENIAN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HAS TO CONTRIBUTE TO BRINGING ARMENIAN AND EU LEGISLATIONS IN LINE, TRAIAN HRISTEA SAYS

said today that "the Armenian National Assembly has to contribute to
bringing Armenian and EU legislations given the new Eastern Partnership
Action Plan and Association Agreement".
Traian Hristea said this during the conference-discussion initiated
by the Armenian delegation of the Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation
Committee of the Armenian National Assembly today, Mediamax reports.
According to the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, the steps
toward closer relations with the EU are obvious. According to him,
it bears witness to the fact that the negotiations are proceeding in
the right path and it's necessary to continue reforms in Armenia.
Co-Chair of Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Samvel
Farmanyan noted in his turn that the discussion aimed to listen to
the standpoints of the civil society and the executive power on the
items on the next agenda of the Committee.
"The MPs are sincerely willing to listen to the standpoints, proposals
and new ideas of the civil society and get acquainted to the new
approaches of the government", said Samvel Farmanyan. The coming
session of Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee will be
held in Brussels on November 28-29.
