THE NKR DELEGATION CONTINUES MEETINGS IN THE USA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. In frames of the preparations for
"Telethon 2012" of the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund~T the delegation of
the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has visited the United States of America.
The Press Service of the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh
Republic informed "Armenpress" that the delegation of the Nagorno
Karabakh Republic visited the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic
Church of North America on November 19. In the framework of the
visit the NKR delegation had a meeting with the Primate of the Western
Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America His Eminence Archbishop
Hovnan Derderian and the members of the council of the diocese. His
Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian greeted the distinguished guests
and certified the willingness of the Armenians from the West Cost of
the United States of America to participate in the up coming telethon.
In the second part of the day the Chairman of the National Assembly
of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan hosted benefactor
Isahak Vardanian. Various issues regarding the realization of the
social programs in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic have been discussed
during the meeting.
The next meeting was with the American-Armenian benefactors sponsoring
the realization of various programs in Shushi under the leadership of
Alek Baghdasaryan. During the meeting the sides discussed the ideas
of the realization of new programs in Shushi and some details of the
program of the upcoming telethon.
A number of distinguished figures partook in the aforementioned
meetings and events. Among them were the Primate of the Diocese of
Artsakh Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, the Consul General of the
Republic of Armenia to Los Angles Grigor Hovhannisyan, the Executive
Director of the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan, the
Permanent Representative of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the United
States of America and Canada Robert Avetisyan and Armine Alexanyan.
