NEW DETAILS ON ADVOCATE'S MURDER. ARTAK VERANYAN IS UNDER ARREST

'Pastinfo.am' was informed by the RA Police Media and Public Relations
Department that on November 18 around 22:00 brothers Artak and Aren
Veranyan and Samvel Diolyan, born in 1981, met Samvel Sharbatyan in
'Mush' restaurant complex in order to get clarifications from him
regarding personal matters. During the dispute Artak and Aren Veranyans
rudely violating the functioning of the restaurant and showing openly
disrespectful attitude towards the visitors and the staff, disputed
with Samvel Sharbatyan, addressed assaults of sexual nature to him
and violated public order for at least 15 minutes and undermined the
regular work of the restaurant
During the dispute Artak Veranyan having grabbed S. Sharbatyan's gun
from his hand shot several times in his direction, beat his face,
body by hands and feet and killed him.
Let us recall that on November 18 at 22:45 Gugarq Police Division
received information from 'ambulance' station that there was a dead
body in a restaurant of Shahumyan village in Lori region. The RA Police
informs that operative group that left for the site found a Yerevan
resident, a member of Chamber of Advocates Samvel Sharbatyan's born
in 1963 dead body with traces of violence.
As a result of the examination of the scene of incident 5 bullets
with the diameter of 4,5 mm for shooting from an air gun were revealed.
A criminal case is initiated on the grounds of Article 104 Section
1 of the RA Criminal Code.
Due to the joint actions of the investigation and operative prosecution
as well as explanatory works initiated by the Police Lori regional
department, Gougarq division and Lori region investigation division
officers, Artak Veranyan, born in 1979, turned up to the Police on
November 19, also presenting the indicated gun.
Artak Veranyan is under arrest. The preliminary investigation on the
criminal case continues. The measures are taken in order to reveal
Aren Veranyan and Samvel Diolyan.
