YEREVAN, Nov. 20 - Two cows in Armenia's Kotayk region have been
confirmed to have died from cutaneous anthrax, the Armenpress reported
Tuesday.
"The people who had connection with the infected animals are under
our control," said Liana Torsyan, an official with the healthcare
ministry, adding that an inspection is still underway in the region.
Anthrax is an acute disease caused by the bacterium Bacillus
anthracis. Cutaneous anthrax is not life threatening.
