THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES WILL OPEN EMBASSY IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. The meeting of the Minster of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Nalbandyan with the President
of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed
Ahmed Al-Murr launched the visit of the Armenian Minister to Abu Dhabi.
The Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress"
that the head of the legislative power of the United Arab Emirates
greeted the Minster of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia
and expressed his satisfaction with the relations of the two countries.
The President of the Federal National Council of the United Arab
Emirates said that he is hopeful that this visit will serve as a new
impulse for the strengthening of the ties of the Republic of Armenia
and the United Arab Emirates.
Edvard Nalbandyan and Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr exchanged ideas regarding
the development of the cooperation of the Republic of Armenia and
the United Arab Emirates, particularly putting a heavy emphasis on
the activation of the interparliamentarian relations.
During the meeting the counterparts discussed issues of regional and
international importance.
The negotiations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United
Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and
the Minster of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edvard
Nalbandyan also kicked off in Abu Dhabi.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates His
Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Minster of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edvard Nalbandyan were pleased to
announce the positive dynamics of the development of the reciprocal
relations and made an agreement regarding the time table of the first
session of the intergovernmental committee. Issues regarding the
activation of consultations of the two ministries, development of the
legal sphere, economic cooperation, cultural and educational exchange.
Among other things the sides have made an agreement regarding the
opening of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic
of Armenia.
At the same day the Minster of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of
Armenia Edvard Nalbandyan had a meeting with the representatives of
the Armenian community of the United Arab Emirates in the Embassy of
the Republic of Armenia to Abu Dhabi.
