YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Prominent Turkish political analyst
Mehmet Ali Birand has made a noteworthy announcement in the program
entitled "Controversial Issues" of CNNTurk TV Company.
As reports "Armenpress" the Turkish analyst while talking about his
origins said that notwithstanding the fact that he is descended from
the Kurds, he is also frequently called Armenian. Regarding this
the renowned Turkish political analyst Mehmet Ali Birand stated:
"I do not feel myself a Kurd, albeit I can understand their problems
better than they themselves. I am frequently called Armenian. I am
not an Armenian, but if I was one I would only be proud of it."
