YEREVAN. - Azerbaijani state launches harassments against the
president of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of
Azerbaijanis of Russia Soyun Sadikov, due to latter's meeting with the
head of the Armenians in Russia Ara Abrahamyan.
The goal of the meeting was attempts to establish good relations
between Armenians and Azerbaijanis living in Russia. The sides also
emphasized that all the issues regarding the Arstakh
[Nagorno-Karabakh] conflict should be settled exclusively via peace
talks based on norms of international law and compromise approach
within the interests of all parties. Following the meeting, some
Azerbaijani media outlets blamed openly Sadikov for high treason.
Hence, Azerbaijani `tolerance' and `constructive approach' is
confirmed to be false once again.
